Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Export Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the entire export process, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and facilitating smooth and efficient shipment of goods. This role requires strong organizational skills, an in-depth understanding of export regulations, and the ability to handle complex logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the export process from order placement to final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods.
- Prepare and process export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs regulations and export control laws.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange shipments and resolve any issues that arise.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout the export process.
- Maintain accurate records of all export transactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with the sales and production teams to ensure alignment on shipment schedules and customer requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify new export opportunities and potential markets.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with international customers and suppliers.
- Stay updated on changes in export regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in export operations, international trade, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of export regulations, documentation, and customs procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and export management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex logistics issues.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
