Our Story
Shawkat Stone was established in Cairo in 2019 with a clear purpose: to build an Egyptian marble and granite export company that operates to international quality standards not just in the stone it produces, but in every part of how it does business.
The company was founded by Mr. Bahaa Shawkat, who brought over 30 years of experience in the Egyptian export industry to the business from day one. That depth of knowledge in sourcing, production, logistics, and international trade is what separates Shawkat Stone from newer entrants in the market.
Since 2019, we have built an ISO 9001:2015 certified factory in the Industrial Zone of Tora, Cairo, established regular export lanes to Greece, Cyprus, and growing markets in the USA, Canada, and Germany, and developed a wholesale client base that returns to us order after order.

Mr. Bahaa Shawkat founded Shawkat Stone in 2019 after more than 30 years working across the Egyptian export industry. That experience spanning international trade, logistics, client relationships, and market development is the foundation on which the company was built.
His vision was straightforward: create an Egyptian stone export company that competes on quality and reliability, not just price. An ISO-certified operation, with its own factory, its own transport fleet, and a team trained to international standards.
Under his leadership, Shawkat Stone has established active export lanes to Greece, Cyprus, the USA, Canada, and Germany and continues to grow its wholesale client base across new markets.
