Export Packing & Loading
Four export-grade packing methods, own transport fleet, and strict international shipping compliance — every order leaves our factory ready to arrive intact, on time, and exactly as specified.
Why Packing Matters
A perfectly produced stone slab can arrive broken, scratched, or stained if the packing isn't right. In international stone export, packing failure is the most common cause of claims and the most preventable one.
Our packing team works to client specifications, uses heat treated and fumigated wood compliant with international phytosanitary standards, and follows a structured loading protocol designed for container transit across long-haul sea routes.
Our Advantage
Unlike factories that outsource their logistics, Shawkat Stone operates its own transport company. That means we control the full chain from our factory floor to the container gate with no handoff point where accountability gets lost.
Every shipment is documented with photos at packing and loading stages. Clients receive confirmation before the container is sealed and know exactly what left our facility and how it was packed.
Packing Methods
We select the packing method based on the stone product, destination, and container configuration not a one size fits all approach that leaves your product at risk in transit.
The most protective packing method for tiles, cut to size pieces, and smaller format stone. Each crate is custom-built to the stone dimensions with internal cushioning to eliminate movement during sea freight.
Sturdy wooden pallets for larger format tiles and slabs. Each pallet is built to handle the weight of dense natural stone while remaining compatible with standard forklift and container handling equipment worldwide.
Designed specifically for pre-cut dimensional stone stair treads, window sills, thresholds, and custom architectural pieces. Each piece is individually protected before bundling to eliminate surface contact between units.
For buyers who purchase raw quarry blocks for further processing in their own facility a growing option for fabricators in the USA and Europe who want to source direct and process locally. Blocks are container-loaded with full internal bracing.
Loading Process
Loading is not an afterthought — it is the final production step. Our loading team follows a structured protocol designed to protect every packed unit from factory floor to sealed container, using specialized lifting equipment and documented positioning for each order.
Container Options
Whether you're moving a full container of a single stone type or consolidating multiple products into a shared load, we have the container configuration and logistics experience to handle it.
The most cost-effective option for large wholesale orders. A full 20ft or 40ft container dedicated to your shipment — no co-loading, no consolidation delays, direct port-to-port. Standard for our distributors in Greece, Cyprus, and growing markets.
20ft & 40ft ContainersFor smaller orders or buyers testing a new stone variety before committing to FCL volumes. Your cargo is consolidated with other shipments going to the same port — flexible for first orders, trial runs, and mixed-product buyers.
Flexible Volume OptionsShawkat Stone operates its own transport company — we move finished product from our factory to the container yard under our direct control. No third-party handoff, no accountability gap, no surprises between the factory gate and the port.
End-to-End ControlEvery export shipment from Shawkat Stone is prepared to meet the import requirements of our destination markets — including phytosanitary certificates for wooden packing, certificates of origin, and full documentation packages for customs clearance in the USA, Europe, and beyond.
